Proposed urban planning changes mean 15-storey buildings could soon be going up near you, in your street and community.
A new Government directive means Mount Eden, Kingsland, and Morningside stations are set for 15-storey developments, while Mt Albert and Baldwin Avenue stations will see buildings of at least 10 storeys.
All of this means a lot more housing density that may see skyscrapers in traditionally low-rise and character neighborhoods, placing pressure on local infrastructure and services, which these areas may not be ready for.
Imagine looking out your window and seeing a high-rise out of your window - what would this mean for you?
