Craig MacKenzie
Craig MacKenzie is focused on strengthening local connections and supporting a vibrant, inclusive community across Tāmaki. Born in Māngere and now living in the area with his whānau since 2019, Craig is deeply connected to Tāmaki Makaurau. Becoming a parent sharpened his focus on the everyday spaces that shape our lives — from safe parks and playgrounds to clean streets and welcoming public facilities. He’s passionate about improving green spaces, sports grounds, sustainability efforts, and neighbourhood safety.
He currently serves on the board of theMaurice Paykel Special Needs Centre in Panmure, where he has led fundraising, managed facility improvements, and advocated for safer, more accessible transport. This experience has deepened his belief in the power of grassroots leadership. Craig is committed to the responsible upkeep of community assets and ensuring ratepayer funds are spent wisely — protecting the resources of today while planning for the needs of tomorrow.
It’s about making sure council is looking after rates, rubbish, and roads.
