Kendyl Smith

Albert-Eden Local Board (Maungawhau Subdivision) Candidate

I’mseeking a third term on the Albert-Eden Local Board, where I’ve had theprivilege of serving for six years, including as Chair. My husband and I havelived here for over 25 years, raising our two children in a community we caredeeply about.

A proudalumni of ANI, Epsom Girls’, and the University of Auckland (BSc), I bringleadership experience from my time at Parenting Place, where I developed strongskills in managing people, budgets, and resources.

Ibelieve in turning up, listening well, and working collaboratively. I’mpractical, pragmatic, and committed to getting things done; from supportingflood-affected residents to protecting open space and character areas amidgrowth. I’ve stood up for local businesses, backed a balanced transportapproach, and helped support Eden Park’s financial sustainability.

Albert-Edendeserves thoughtful, community-focused leadership, not top-down decisions. I’dbe honoured to continue serving our neighbourhood.
